SYNOPSIS
An ascetic nurse working in palliative care tries to overcome her fear of death and lonelinesss.
An elderly man’s life comes to an end in a Palliative Care Unit, but he is not alone: Maria, a young nurse, stands by him through this crossing. Maria’s stoic attitude towards Death is disturbed by a series of events in her unit, culminating with the shock of finding her mother fighting for her life after a sudden illness. Devastated, Maria seeks comfort by aiding the anonymous dying who inhabit her unit, while her mother is left alone, like those to whom Maria dedicates her life.
